An independent firm built around engineering judgment.
MRBF Consulting is an independent Australian advisory firm. We work with government, corporate, and enterprise principals on the hardest engineering, energy, and industrial questions — the ones that cut across capital, regulation, and operating reality.
We are deliberately small. Engagements are scoped and led personally, and where a mandate calls for capability beyond the core team we assemble named specialists from a trusted external network before accepting the work.
We do not run leveraged delivery, do not subcontract through opaque chains, and do not accept work where independence would be compromised by an adjacent commercial interest.
Independence
We hold no fund, no product line, and no broker or reseller relationships. Recommendations answer only to the mandate in front of us.
Engineering judgment
Engagements are scoped and led by practitioners with operating experience in the systems being advised on — not generalist account teams.
Long horizon
We work to the timescales of infrastructure, energy, and policy — measured in years and decades, not quarters.
Discretion
We do not publish client names, and we do not market on outcomes. References can be arranged privately during a scoping conversation.
Honest scope
If a mandate is outside our depth, we say so and either decline or assemble a confirmed specialist team before accepting it.
Plain language
Technical work, written and presented in language the principal can act on — without dilution and without jargon.
The firm is founder-led. Biographies, prior engagements, and references are shared directly as part of a scoping conversation rather than published openly, in keeping with the confidentiality expectations of the principals we work with.
If you are evaluating MRBF for a specific mandate, the most useful next step is a short call to test fit and scope. We will be candid about what we can and cannot credibly do.
